On March 8th we celebrated not only the International Women’s Day but also being voted “IP LAW FIRM OF THE YEAR 2018 – EASTERN EUROPE ” by the internationally renowned journal Managing Intellectual Property (MIP). Our firm received this prestigious title for the second year in the row. The official ceremony took place at the Savoy Hotel in London. The award was accepted by colleagues from different ZMP offices: Ms Monica Novac from Romania, Ms Joanna Szota from Poland, Ms Marija Markicievic and Mr Vladimir Marenovic from Serbia and Mr. Djura Mijatovic based in our office in Alicante, Spain. ZMP Poland is a proud partner of the Maker Woman project in Poland. With the Maker Woman project, the Solidarity FabLab and Orange Foundation is hoping to provide digital technology training to women who are in the early stages of their career or returning to work. It is also aimed at women who are simply seeking to improve their skills and who would like to change jobs. For the second year in a row ZMP is on a run to receiving MIP FIRM OF THE YEAR – EASTERN EUROPE!
We are very proud that ZMP has been shortlisted for the Managing Intellectual Property EMEA Regional Award for the best IP firm in Eastern Europe and the Baltics.
The winners will be announced at the Gala in the Savoy Hotel on 8 March 2018 and we thank all our clients and colleagues for their support. This prestigious award is given based on independent detailed research by the MIP.

Tomasz Rychlicki, patent attorney from our Warsaw office will be one of the panelists during Mastering the Game Conference organized by the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, together with National Centre for Culture Poland, City of Warsaw and Indie Games Polska Foundation. The Conference will be held on 16 and 17 November 2017.

Djura Mijatovic – ZMP’s Managing Partner will be participating in the INTA Leadership Meeting 2017 which will take place Tuesday 7th – Friday 10th November 2017 in Washington, DC.
The INTA Leadership Meeting brings together INTA volunteers and leaders once a year to advance the Association’s objectives and goals. This meeting offers registrants an advanced-level educational program and the opportunity to conduct business and network with colleagues from around the world over four days.
Joanna Szota, head of the Polish ZMP Office will be participating in Blockchain and Intellectual Property 2017 Workshop which will take place Thursday 26th 2017 in Alicante, Spain. We are trying to stay ahead of time and acknowledge the possible influence of new technologies on IP.
