ZMP proudly announces that our esteemed colleague, Monica Novac, has been shortlisted for the prestigious Managing IP Awards as Practitioner of the Year for Romania. The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place at the London Hilton on Park Lane on Thursday, April 11, 2024.
Monica has been overseeing the operations of ZMP’s Romanian office since 2014. Her expertise lies in trademark contentious and prosecution cases, specifically handling opposition, appeal, and cancellation matters. She also possesses extensive experience in managing infringement cases. Monica frequently advises large international clients on counterfeiting matters in Romania and provides valuable assistance before the Romanian enforcement authorities. Moreover, she offers strategic and practical advice in litigation matters, as well as aiding clients in out-of-court settlements.
In addition to conducting due diligence investigations, Monica actively participates in drafting and negotiating various agreements that incorporate an intellectual property (IP) component. She also supervises the ongoing management of clients’ IP portfolios and provides assistance with clearance searches.
