This month, our ZMP team in North Macedonia organized two intellectual property enforcement training sessions in Skopje. The events brought together customs officers and market inspectors who play a key role in combating counterfeit goods in North Macedonia.
We dedicated the first session to customs officers. The training focused on identifying counterfeit products at border crossings and recognizing common signs of trademark infringement.
We tailored the second session to market inspectors. During the training, participants discussed methods for detecting counterfeit goods in the local market and reviewed practical enforcement challenges.
The sessions combined legal guidance with practical examples. Participants examined current counterfeiting trends and discussed real enforcement cases. They also shared experiences from their daily work and exchanged views on common challenges.
The discussions remained lively throughout both sessions. Participants asked numerous questions and contributed valuable insights from the field.
These trainings highlight the importance of continuous education and cooperation in intellectual property enforcement. Strong collaboration between enforcement authorities and IP professionals helps improve brand protection and supports the fight against counterfeit goods.
